Sourced from 10yr old vines grafted off the original Underhill Vineyard. Another fantastic example of just how good the Yarra Valley can be for shiraz. Very different; starts out with violets and minerals, leading to sour and slightly pongy fruit. A wide palate in terms of structure, not particularly fruity and lots of complexity. Really impressive with its mineral and tang. Very Northern Rhone. Not sure if it will live for every. Looks good as a 3yr old and might only look to keep through to 2012.
