Party (Fremont, CA): Coravin 8/16/14: Deep youthful ruby color without bricking; nose has some black fruit, some spice, slight rusticity, light-medium complexity; palate still has substantial tannins, somewhat drying, doesn't have the concentration of fruit on the palate to balance the tannins or give the wine depth; finish is short. Not a bad example of entry-level bordeaux, but even at this price point you can do better. Tannins might suggest that air or time in bottle would help, but I don't think it has the fruit for that. Drink now. 86

almost opaque purple color, pleasing nose with plenty of aroma of dark fruit such as cherry, medium body, bit high acid, decent tannin, dark cherry on palate and hint of blueberry, some fruit on finish but also a bit flat. For the price a definite value.

A clear and deep garnet color with the color touching all the way to the rim. Clean with a medium intensity of toast, oak, cedar and hints of blackberry and blackcurrants on the nose. Dry, full-bodied with low acidity and high tannins. The oak and cedar is pronounced on the palate with unripe blueberries on the medium + finish.
