Agree with my previous note on the armoas and flavours but I liked it even more this time - my reservations have been withdrawn. Beautiful balance. Great length.

Yellow in colour with a slight green hue. Citrus, stone fruits, and cashew/nougat on the nose. Wow this has an intense palate, with mouthwatering grapefruit, lemon, white peach, nectarine, yogurt, and a nutty nougat oak. Good length. The intensity of flavour was amazing but was it all a bit out of balance? Undecided. One mouthful I was enjoying it, the next not so much due to the lemony acids. It may be more enjoyable (for me anyway) in a few years, given time to mellow.

The number of good Australian chardonnay's out there really is impressive. Whilst th pendulum of the industry seems to be swinging towards towards the cooler, more austere style, Stella Bella isn't following that trend. As is the want with Margaret River, this is quite a full bodied ripe and delicious chardonnay. Its got good balance, and is certainly not over the top. I only paid $25AUS, so great VFM. My only quibble is that whilst it ticked all the boxes, and I can imagine it scoring very well, I didn't find it very interesting.

Really nice. A golden yellow colour. Nose of citrus and stone fruit. Full bodied palate, balanced finish. Subtle oak.
