Stood up for a week, cork crumbled even with a Durand, very light red, mature nose, gloriously alive with fruits, acidity, freshness, incredible it’s 60 yo, stewed meat, cherries, earth, complex nose, identical to the bottle drank in 2022, just losing out on the balance with acidity cutting through with the fruits not able to hold up, but I’m nit picking, never faded over 3 hours, nose alone 97! Palate 93

Final bottle and once again a beauty. Remarkable verve and freshness for a 58 year old wine with beautiful acidity to balance the lively fruit. Stewed strawberries and complex earthy notes in perfect balance. Hard to put down.

Absolutely gorgeous. This is soft and smooth, yet has plenty of structure left at age 57. So many layers of complexity. Stewed strawberries with earth, pipe tobacco, mushrooms, truffles, embers and smoke. Very aromatic with a long lingering finish. A real treat.

Drunk at Cafe Grey Upper House Hong Kong and served blind - Paired with the '70 which beat this by a couple places for wine of the night. I suspect that at this stage its not about the vintage but rather the bottle difference between these two wines. Whilst the '64 was absolutely lovely it didn't quite have the elegance and supreme balance that the '70 showed. Nevertheless, as I wrote about the '70 definitely worth seeking out well stored examples of these rarities.

Served blind, brought this, stood upright for 1 week, light brown, mature complex aromas of sherry, earth, stewed meat, gloriously alive! Incredible nose, soft tannins, an historical wine, wow wine
