Partner review: The color is a very pale yellow with great clarity. Lots of youthful aromas in a moderately intense nose. I picked out a very strong scent of white pear, but also some apple, young oak, caramel and light floral scents - perhaps rose. The taste is light and fruity (I picked out melons, apricot and peach to go along with the pears and apples) with delightful earthy tones which leave a balanced, smooth finish. It didn't add to or detract from the food pairing, but the spices in the dish (especially nutmeg) overpowered the wine during the meal.

We drank this one with a chicken, mushroom and spaghetti dish. It's a good-looking clear golden yellow. The nose is delightful with apples and pears immediately jumping out along with oak. I kept getting different hints - citrus, floral, chalk, caramel - when revisiting the aroma. The taste is playfully light on the tongue, but very flavorful. The apple and especially pear linger long enough to interact with the oak, which brings home a medium finish. The food pairing was not the best, but the wine was very enjoyable.

The nose shows full, bright apple scents, and an enjoyable touch of oak. The fruit is quite tasty on the palate, with balanced oak complimenting everything well. The acidity becomes full later, and it dries the palate nicely. 88+
