Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 88.7 points

  • Giving that one a 90 pointer as the acidity is amazing and I am puzzled here

Nose is still quite oaky, but it is quite integrated, with gooseberry, raspberry and little red berry fruits, some wet leaves showing evolution, mushroom, quite a complex wine

Palate is very tart still and has some tannins left, balance is there and med- length, a quite unusual wine for me as I tend not to taste or drink anymore naked aged wines in the style of that, but I have to admit I hid some of them to figure out potential and what happens when older !

it has aged well, and shows good integration of wood, red fruits ad a bit of evolution. Minty finish, still oaky but definitely some interest there ! Like many of those wines, in Bordeaux, Rioja, Ribera, Napa, age tells !

  • This is too young now, but promising. Great balance, not over the top or hot in any way, the fruit (raspberries, other red and black berries), acidity (sour cherries) and structure (leather, a hint of wood, but quit restrained) are in balance, and the spicy aftertaste is quite long. Needs probably at least another two to four years, maybe more. Might merit a higher score.
