At Home Dinner. This wine opened beautifully with a developed amber orange colour and a nose of orange and lemon zest, candied grapefruit, apricot conserve and honeyed pineapple . The palate reflects the complexity on the nose and the richness is balanced by lovely matiere and grip that provides terrific length that persists beautifully on the back palate. There is a persistent touch of honey and creme brûlée that really lifts this wine.

Charming, fragrant nose of orange marmalade, quince, blossom and stem ginger. The palate is intense, with vibrant fruit, racy acidity and suggestions of honey, ginger and caramel. Exceptionally harmonious and rounded out with a gloriously long finish. With rhubarb and fennel millefueille.

Paired with foie gras, fig jam and true balsamic vinegar on toasted bread. Very light, low on sugar, creme brûlée, almonds, not as I remembered last time, wine seems close to its peak in the case of this bottle. The wine did not overpower the meal and the association was excellent. Drank with the same pairing over the next day and quality remained top notch.
Liquid crème brulée, barley sugar and grilled almonds seasoned with spice. Fully rounded and developed, it had a superb length of finish. Very fine and distinguished. An amazing treat. CHP 94pts
