Allowed to breathe in glass 1 hour. Clear deep ruby-garnet red color. Lovely notes of red cherries, raspberries, pomegranates and their liqueurs; clean animal musk, black tea, orange peel, garam masala, stony soil. Pleasantly tart, firm but civilized tannins. Excellent.

Opened after chilling in fridge for twenty minutes. The tannins and acidity are more subdued than the last time I tasted this wine. Fresh, harmoniously vibrant, albeit a little simple. Nice nose of dusty cherries. No obvious flaws, which is more than I can say about many Burgundy reds available in this price tier. I will open my last bottle within a year, as I do not expect any miracles to occur.

Tasted over 10 hours. Initial flavors were dominated by acidity and tannin, two hours eliminated tannin yet acidity overpowered any fruit notes for another 7 hours. After 8 hours, the fruit emerged and, with a yawn and a stretch, came alive. The aromas, though undeveloped, were totally Old World. On the palate, cherry flavors were joined by subtle notes of earth and wild berries. An uncomplicated, yet thoroughly enjoyable wine. Retail was about $35. No complaints about this one, just the recommendation that it is uncorked hours before consumption.

Needs to be open for couple of hours to show all it has. Clean, balanced old world Pinot. Drinks very well right now.
