Although the 1985 year was a premier one for Napa Cabs, unfortunately this particular wine did not sustain the characteristics of its vintage. Disappointing but predictable.

Still holding on if not really evolving into anything profound.
Color: Ruby/garnet Nose: Toast, leather, berries, herbs... Palate: Nice sweet entry. Good length. Turning a bit tart on the finish. Flavors of red berries. Tasty, but not very complex.
For its age and pedigree, it's showing nicely though.

Blackberries, balance, full bodied, aged gracefully...which was a pleasant surprise.
