Medium to full bodied. Blackcurrant, blueberry, plum, tobacco and cloves on the palate. The fruit is quite powerful, but with a slight bitterness that makes it attractive. Firm tannins and enough acidity to round out the wine. Perhaps a touch too much fruit to be a great wine, but very nice. Has many years in front of it.

Oak Barrel - Barossa Wine Tasting 2011 (Oak Barrel, Elizabeth Street, Sydney): Slight mint, creamy and rich and almost buttery. Slight astringency that shows almost clove. Again, slightly bitter on the finish but a very nice wine none the less.
