Deep maroon in a tasting pour; nearly black in a drinking pour. Color does not cling to the glass as one would expect. Standard leathery smokey almost rubbery Rhône nose. On the palate, fat, extracted dark fruit. Medium tannins that fade into medium-light with air. A solid California Rhône blend that will appeal to fans of the genre.

Full and plump with deep black plum fruit and good structure. We served it with a bean and sausage stew and were very happy with the outcome. Vines on the Marycrest is a small boutique producer in Paso Robles.

Without going into detail, I have to say that this bottle is better than the last bottle, and it's consistently good. Lots of berries, juicy, with wonderful mouthfeel and terrific with my "famous" smoked brisket. The Syrah is the star in this blend and makes this wine a great summer/bbq red. Love it!

This GSM showed nice candy notes, red licorice, red fruit, with a soft and sliky mouthfeel. A bit simple, but a solid CA Rhone blend.
