Just a classic and gorgeous Napa nose filled with cassis, mint and earthy dark fruits. On the palate, it's now beautifully integrated with delicious flavors of dark ripe berries, cassis and eucalyptus. Quite fresh with vivid acidity that leads to a crunchy finish with firm, dusty tannins and fabulous notes of dark spices and juicy black plums. Still youthful but I love it now for the fruit/tertiary combo. How I wish all Napa Cabs could be made in this pure and restrained style. 94+

Upon pnp it was a bit dilute and restrained. My first thought was "I waited too long. Twelve years for a California cab is just too long". After an hour the wine started to sing. This old world style of winemaking features low alcohol (13.8%) (not a fruit bomb), cherries and violets, and a silky mouthfeel that made me want to sip until the bottle was gone. But I left some for night #2.

Drinking beautifully. Enough age to soften the tannins and still show good fruit.
