  • Popped and poured at close to 10 degrees celsius. Pale peach-rose color with the slightest hint of bruising around the edges...could be a visual sign that this is getting a bit close to the end of it's enjoyable life. Aromas are pleasant enough...ripe apricots... a bit of funkyness that blew off after about 15 minutes but nothing off-putting. On palate, it's still light...some stone fruits there too but not nearly as lively as I remember when I tasted it over 6 months ago. The residual sugar is dominating this one right now and not letting the fruit show through...which is a shame. I probably should have popped these earlier but I thought I could hold off until summer. I would have likely scored this one higher if I had tried it earlier in its lifetime. 100% Cabernet Franc rose from the Loire Valley.
