Drank this at Bandon with friends after golf. Color was garnet rather than the darker hues of younger Shiraz. A fairly bright new world palate that lacked the backbone I look for in a wine - but it was the favorite of several in our group. It is still drinking well, and likely has a year or two of age left, if cellared properly.

Day 2 review. Black licorice, floral, spices and bacon bits. Fruit is not real present and more secondary character. Interesting wine and not the fruit bomb that the non Aussie wine drinker would expect. Medium plus finish. Drink now and quite good.

Phew, not corked like my last bottle/review. Decanted for 30mins prior to drinking. Winemakers 'purple hue' appears to be slighly changing, very minor hints of orange/brown coming through. Still very fruity and fragrant, dark berries and mint. Slight bitterness on the back palate which I think is due to being slightly past it best. Solid medium finish, syrupy feel. This is still quite enjoyable but on the turn, drink now whilst it still has something to give.

This was my 2nd bottle out of 5. Assumed corked as this one was completely off, vile pungent brown, paint stripper material that literally hurt and burnt my nose when I stupidly bothered to smell. Tipped down the sink. Note, the first bottle was brilliant, didn't bother with tasting note at the time.

An excellent example an aged Aesir Syrah. Tremendous depth of flavors. Definitely approaching end of window so drink up
