  Weird wine. Mature, but still very much alive. Very dark fruited and full bodied for a pinot, but not not just about the fruit. If tasted blind, I might have guessed a restrained style Syrah.

  nose has some nice Burgundian notes of earth, forest floor and brambly raspberry fruit.
  The palate also shows plenty of those same notes. Nicely layered with the fruit that still shows very nicely. The finish had decent length.
  Served with king salmon dish. Nicely paired and would buy again.

  much stronger wine then others I have tasted from this producer. Richer and deeper in every aspect, stronger fruit with longer finish and much more going on than there usual more light flavored and bodied fair I really enjoyed it but I understand it is not everyone's style

  Mountains to Metro (Heritage Ballroom in the Governor Hotel): Elegant and soft aromas. This oddly smells like breadcrumbs, but with nice red fruit on top. Soft and light, and really needs some encouragement to come out. With some more swirls I get some spree and even some broccoli stems. Awesome attack of elegant red fruits on the palate. Quite nice and balanced, offering an overall tart profile, but it never fully comes out, and stays slightly concealed. Not too much depth on the finish today. Things drop off quite a bit, actually, and this is just acting tart and closed. There's definitely potential here, but today it's just not ready to come out and fully express itself. 88+
