From 75cl screwcap. Tiny CO2 bubbles in the glass not as disturbing as recorded on 31.01.2017; petrol-mature Riesling scent; superb clarity and balance on the pear/grapefruit pith-tinged mid-palate. Very long. Very nearly but not quite the equal of the rather thick 2009 Künstler Hölle EG tasted on 16.11.2017, of course this is a true Kabinett and the better food wine. Terrific value at under 10 EUR on release, the HHKT is still my QPR favourite from all of Künstler's delightful offerings. 89P

From 75cl screwcap. Rather fizzy, like a vinho verde. Clearly inferior to the bottles I opened on 20.01.2016 and 09.06.2013, but not obviously faulty. An attractive, refreshing, pure Riesling, just a bit fizzy. The first time I've encountered such strong bottle variation from screwcap. 88P(?)

From 75cl screwcap. This glorious Rheingau Kabinett is near full maturity, as the whiff of petrol on the nose confirms. It is dancingly light on the mid-palate, after a cracking sweet/sour/mineral entry with (this is the only point of consensus between this TN and Butzemann's of 29.05.2015) just a touch of grapefruit. I drank the final drop 20 minutes ago and my gums and tongue are still singing. Terrific wine, a third of the price of Künstler's Hölle Erstes Gewächs of the same vintage, and for my palate clearly the better (=more typical, exuberant and simply drinkable) wine, at least at this stage of development. No hurry. 92P
