Hugely effusive “punch in the face” nose; chewy with immodest lashings of toasty oak. Infanticide! Keep for at least 5-7 more years so the oak can integrate and other elements mesh. Very promising future.

Aside from the oak signature (which I do tend to find with this wine in general) and warmth on the finish, this does show impressive liqueur-like ripeness of frambroise, dark cherry with vague spice, wood, licorice and rose petal. Bits of vanilla are seen throughout. Bigger than the '06 and '08 vintages but lacks freshness for me. Maybe just a style thing?

This wine has the potential to get to be an excellent wine but we opened it too young. Floral nose and a tannic structure upon on opening, it softened to reveal cherry, a hint of black truffle and a rather steely backbone. Good finish and an enjoyable drop. Certainly could do with at least another 3 - 5 years. As is, it is very good.

sublime nose: very floral and herbs after some time the red currant fruit devlopes, perfectly integrated barrique (not too much new wood) holds everything together without beeing noticeable for itself. Palate was a bit short at first, but after some time it became really great and deep without loosing its fresh acidity and elegance.

Great nose of ripe berry, floral spice, camphor and earth. It is deep, sweet and succulent with good drive and earthy nuance. Texture is velvety and flavours fan out off the minerally finish.
