  • Decanted for two hours and found an extraordinary wine. Nose did not reveal much but on the palate there was an explosion of fresh ripe fruit and very carefully crafted acidic lift that provided a lengthy and very enjoyable finish. I'm someone who doesn't like very much acidity but the winemaker created something that I highly enjoyed without heavy handed tannins to save the day. Absolutely delicious.

  • Bold red fruit flavors with lots of acidity. Was great with ribs, but it's definitely a food wine. We will save the rest of the bottle for the next meal.

  • The wine is clear and bright with a deep ruby colour and presence of legs. The nose is clean and developing, showing medium+ intensity aromas of dark cherries, plums, strawberries, liquorice and hints of nail varnish remover. The wine is dry in the mouth with a medium acidity. It has medium+ tannins and a high warm alcohol. It has a medium+ body and medium+ intensity flavours of dark cherries, plums, stawberries and liquorice. The finish is medium+.

It is a good quality wine with a nice finish and fruit concentration, but it lacks a bit of acidity to reach balance, and it could be more complex. Can drink now, but it has enough tannic structure and fruit concentration to develop some tertiary aromas in the next 2-3 years.

  • Tightly wound bold Syrah - nice with some layers of flavor, but needs more time in the bottle.

  • Friends and I tasted this in the Woodinville tasting room on 3/15/14. It had a big, rich bouquet of smoked meat, plum, pepper and spice aromas. The palate was rich, dense and dry with flavors of plum, blackberry, pepper and spice. 91+
