  • Wow!! Delicious. The entire Thanksgiving family made the entire bottle disappear incredibly rapidly. Wonderful stuff. Lots of sediment in this bottle.

  • Amazing gift for our wedding. Enjoyed with our cake top one at our one year anniversary dinner party. This was amazing and paired fabulously with a mildly sweet butter cream and berry cake.

  • Need to call it a port...

  • I think this is an intriguing fortified wine. Much better than port from overseas as it seems explosive rather than subdued. Big wine with red and blue fruit. It was hard to just pour a glass, but thanks to the coravin I can space myself from consuming this in one night with friends. Finished it up now. The wine has syrup overtones. It exhibits a creamy texture with no hard edges. There was no raisin affect. The fruit is concentrated and the brandy infusion gives the flavor an odd twist. It is this odd flavor that makes this wine intriguing, which is not a reason to spend $500. I did sense the spirits which is something I do not find in typical port wines. It is really too expensive for what it exhibits except for someone where price is not a concern. However, for the rest of us you do get to tell the story of having tried it once.

  • Deep opaque core with dull purple rim, sediment and a slightly bizarre oily looking formations (don't think it is the glass) which remind me of a broken vinaigrette; nose is rich with cedar, sawdust, prunes, smoke, chewing tobacco, smoke, some high toned red fruit, liqueur like for sure; so sappy on the palate, super viscous, great purple fruit, prunes galore, cooked fig, medjool date, tobacco, cedar on finish, smoke, nice brandy warmth on finish, plump and round yet good drive; a hedonistic delight; smoking good; skip desert and just drink this...maybe have a cigar too.
