With Michael Lehmann at lunch at the Washington Square Bar and Grill. Medium dark ruby. Certainly attractive. Nose smells overly soft and supple; more like a Gallo hearty burgundy than a Reserve Cabernet. "Pleasant" would be my word of choice. Diffuse. In the mouth, it's quaffable but lacks a good deal of substance. No backbone, no body. Just diffuse, soft, watered-down fruit. Little complexity. Simple. Overall, it needs more tannin and backbone. Too soft, though it should go with my fish. 5-7-9-4: 75/100.

once this got some air, about an hour, it had a very complex nose and silky smooth mouthfeel. Complex bodeaux-like flavors.
