Peach and light flowers on the nose; apricot and white peach in the mouth. A fair amount of residual sugar in the mid palate, but some nice acidity emerges on the finish to balance that out - leaving a very long stone fruit finish that is not overly sweet. Overall very nice. I grabbed this on the strength of Gary Vaynerchuck's recent blind tasting show - while I'm not as blown away as Gary was, this is definitely worth checking out. A bit too much RS for my tastes, but I hope to grab a few more bottles for the cellar to have on hand for friends.

2009 was the year of the stone fruit for Rieslings from NY. Aromas of peach and apricot lead to a palate that exudes peach notes with some nectarine through the finish. Nice, racy acidity cleans up the finish. This Riesling is a great balance between acid and sweetness.

not as sweet as I was expecting, but not particularly complex.
