OK, I may have scored too high the first one but at the time that is what I thought. Now, meat, blood, menthol, black fruit on the nose with light translucent color to the rim. The legs don't reflect the lightness of the color and the mouth feel as well was bigger than expected. The palate was as the nose with the exception of higher than usual acidity and spice. Short finish. Very unpretentious but nothing of consequence either. However, certainly not unwieldly and ugly.
Turns out I returned the wine from the decanter after pouring through a venturi and letting breath 1 hour. I then took it to dinner at Ernesto's Gourmet Mexican and it was fantastic with Ernesto's sauces on Red Snapper stuffed with crab, Lobster tail and Shrimp. A perfect compliment not overbearing to where it dwarfed the food. I would have to bump it up to 90 again.
OK, you won't believe me but you must. I left this in my cellar at 51-55 F. I found it this afternoon and it is absolutely stunning. I wldn't believe it if I hadn't tasted it myself. All the fruit, aromas, color, everything is better than when first opened. The nose is dark chocolate mocha, vanilla with some oak. Palate is smooth, medium with the fruit coming forward and some drying tannins but yet soft and supple. Amazing at this price point. Only wish I had more. My wine guy suggested it was because I secured the cork so well. He has anecdotal evidence from friends who take left over Bordeaux and put it in 1/2 bottles and fill to the shoulder cork tightly and they last up to three weeks. I guess I'm a believer.

Disagree with chatters absolutely completely. This wine had great fruit, while it opened ugly, it mellowed after an hour and was quite pleasant. I bought 4 additional not that it means anything but I think it deserves a closer look. I wouldn't pay more than 20 for it however. I apologize for not having more copius notes but it was tasted at a local tasting and I try not to do too much note taking at these and enjoy the socializing.

Buttery. Creamy. Caramel undertones. Well aged but surviving towards peak consumption period. Enjoy now.
