Interesting, if unusual blend of 45% cab s., 45% petit v., 7% cab f., and 3% merlot. Intense purple color thanks to the petit verdot, which also adds a gripping tannic aspect, with acidic/sour flavor profiles. There is what I take to be black current and tobacco in their, too. Medium bodied, somewhat granular tannins, integrated pretty well, though. Nice effort from a VA winemaker (with a very nice deck, by the way).
