Must be getting better with some age. Went well with steak and baked potato. Nice aromas, tannins smoothed out over the evening. Was even better on second day.

I bought this wine over a year ago, thinking it had potential, but after drinking the initial bottle knew it needed some time to tame the strong tannins. The wine tonight was quite nice, not a 90+ rating, but better than the everyday cab we tend to drink. Good nose, good fruit, chewy, but now not overwhelming tannins. A solid wine with interesting depth and complexity. Buy a case? no. Buy a few? absolutely, glad I did. Only 2850 cases made, so its long gone. A solid effort, I can only assume Costco continues to figure out the wine world in coming years, and delivers increasingly better quality and value.

pretty darn good for the age and the comments... hints of smoke and tar, hint of cherry on the finish. tannins are getting mellow, time to drink.
