This was an interesting, fairly complex white rhone blend. Color was straw to golden fairly dark. Pear, nectarine, peach, wood with a slight hint of vanilla on both the nose and the palate. The mouth feel was ok maybe a little soft which could have bee the need for more acidity in the balance. Even though there was almost 16% alcohol there wasn't much of a bite. This was a 2009 but it drinks like it may be a touch past its prime.

Dark amber in color, almost like a honey wheat microbrew, this XCV has a rich and titalating persuasion about it. Layered with clover honey and creamy vanilla bean, this white resembles a late harvest wine. A decedant creme brulee mid palate that is delicious and pronounced. There just doesn't seem to be enough acidity though to keep this wine afloat. After a night in the fridge and out on the counter, it could have passed for an alcoholic apple cider. An uneven performance for me. Drink now

Excellently balanced Chataneauf Blanc style wine. Paired with one of the most difficult, if not impossible, foods, an artichoke pesto appetizer. Everyone raved about this wine. Unfortunately, there is no more :-(

Nicely balanced Rhone blend from Paso Robles, remained enjoyable over 3 days. Very aromatic with honeysuckle, pear, and tangerine. Smooth in the mouth, with a touch of crisp acidity in the backbone. 89-91.
