Mid-shoulder fill. Good colour. Soy sauce, umami, dried herbs, plums. Slightly thin but still showing signs of life. May not have been the best bottle.

From magnum. A subtle wine with a thinner palate than the Cheval Blanc served alongside. Palate gained nuance and energy with an hour of time, so bottle fully intact. 93-94

Kevin's big 50 MNSC (Amuse Bouche): opened 1.5hrs before serving. a real surprise it was showing better than the '47. wonderfully expressive nose of smoke, toast and coffee. bravo.

Richter Raritäten Vol.VII (Magnums only) (Farnsburg): Dried herbs, incense, it smells as if you enter a buddhist temple. Good balance, fairly long
