I acquired a small batch a couple of years ago and I was underwhelmed by the first bottle. This second bottle - popped and poured - was marvellous - it had a beautifully floral Margaux bouquet, with truffly hints and was nicely resolved, albeit grippy on the palate… a bit of pluminess but a wine with real finesse in the perfect place.

Deep colour, mature no sign of any browning. Lovely inviting nose of soft supple dark fruit, the palate is beautifully soft and rounded, tannins completely integrated. Drinking brilliantly, worth getting stuck in, not the concentration of a great vintage but a beautifully judged well balanced wine that has turned out exceptionally well.

Expressive nose on cooked and jammy fruits.
Fruit taste "compotee" and strong acidity which is disturbing. After an hour the acidity is decreasing however the balance is not there to make it pleasant.
Poor millésimes
