The wine finishes medium. The wine has low acidity. It tastes like stoniness. The body is light/medium. The wine has coarse texture. The wine looks tawny colored. There is moderate sediment in the bottle. The legs are medium.

Bought this at a silent auction for our youngest daughter's sorority in fall 2009. Knew the dad who offered it up. Wine had been well handled.
Opened it about an hour before tasting. In the glass the color was bright with a clear rim. Nose of red fruit leather (the stuff you give your kids). A hint of butter (malolactic?)which I'm assuming is from the new oak used in the barrel stage.
On the mouth the 13.9% alcohol allows the fruit, acids and tanins to collaborate and present and excellent example of Napa Merlot. It's a relaxed (not flabby) integrated taste.
Still think WA state produces some of the very best merlots in the world. Love to work through WA and CA top Merlots from 2002-2009.

Brick red and clear. Nose has cocoa, vanilla and pie crust. Palate of blueberrries, pie crust, oak and vanilla. very long finish, with great balance. Well-balanced big fruity wine.

Maybe the purest ruby red color I have seen in any wine. Nose of cherries and plums. Soft with a touch of oak on the palate and a nice finish.
