Lovely oxidative character, incredible structure and texture. I can't do this wine justice trying to describe it, it simply defies categorization. Very compelling, and certainly shows some apple character, sort of a cross between crisp apples and baked. Finish goes on and on. Stunning. Also really enjoyed the 2004 Fauquette, and would love to try these two side by side.

Beautiful aromas of beeswax, wool and spice. The palate shows sherry notes up front before it plunges into the depths with a melange of flavors - pear and burnt toast among them. Any further attempts to describe this wine will only make me sound stupid - let's just say that it's really, really good.
I paid $20 for this, which is an exceptional value.

Consistent with the last bottle, incredible structure and depth, all that lovely oxidative quality with baked/fresh apples.
