removed cork and served an hr later. Dark and relatively clear with good dark fruit notes and Garrigue. Based on the vintage and notes here I wasn't expecting much and even wonders if this was OTH. Found it to be very solid and easy to enjoy. While this doesn't have the pizazz of the bigger wines it is a solid bottle and probably under rated. Glad to have a few more.

This time, the wine had a cloudy appearance, even though it was upright for a few days. Wine was sound with dark raspberry, lavender, and provencial herbs. The midpalate was a bit course, and a trace of heat noted on the finish. Nonetheless, very easy to drink with food, but time to drink up.

Dark, raisiny black cherry fruit with loads of garrigue, leather and fine tannins on the long finish. With no decant, this showed a bit more rusticity than elegance. The last glass was the best, so decant before opening.

Janasse Tasting (Rolando's House): Gunpowder, a bit of stench, mineral, pretty, bitter and smoky herbs of Provence. Very long on the palate.

Nice, dark nose. Somewhat rustic, especially on the mid-palate. Long but dry finish. Pleasant enough, but not great. Better with strong-tasting food.
