  • Deepest straw to light gold. Nicely clean and mineral. Quite evolved as one would expect, a nicely mature burgundy. No huge depth or complexity, but a nice drink. ***

  • Mid to full greenish gold. Lovely nose of butter, mineral and toasted hazelnut, initially rich and buttery, becoming leaner and more mineral with air (over an hour or three). Good, positive attack, ripe and relatively fat initially passing through to a nicely mineral and slightly lime-fruited mid-palate and a moderately long finish. Lovely and proper. Not much experience with 94 but this strikes me as in character with the vintage - quite classical, a little on the mineral, lean side but all present and correct. Anyway, lovely wine and my vinous bargin of the year - picked up a couple of days ago from a local merchant's binend selection for the princely sum of six quid. ****
