Lesser Italian White Varietals (Duchman Family Winery Driftwood, Texas): Reminiscent of a sauvignon blanc, this is a blend of biancolella, pepella, and falanghina. A nose of green herbs and citrus was initially reticent but with air became apparent and nice. Light-bodied, it was quite floral on the palate, with melon, honeysuckle, lemons, grapefruit, grass, and hay flavors, and a very satisfying, mineral finish. A wine for a shellfish lover.
