  • A rich, highly concentrated, powerful wine. Deep dark color, very complex nose. Kirsch, some dark berries and a bouquet of herbs dominate on the palate plus the sweetness of white chocolate and vanilla. Wonderful thick texture. Very long, silky, intense finish. A sexy, hedonistic wine with many more years to go. Bravo!

  • Very nice. A bit murky but nice fruit and soft tannins with mushroom and plum notes.

  • Calming down a little bit, although the alcohol is really showing initially. Ripe, sweet Grenache, galore, mourvèdre giving the local feel, the Cambie-impression (RIP) is slowly giving way ... years to go, will improve.

  • Great wine. Does not need along decant at this point. Definitely a drink now bottle. Had a small amount left for second day that was not good.

  • It's been around nine years, let's see how things are going. Decanted one hour before service, probably about right. In the glass, still relatively youthful in appearance, deep purplish-red, but there are intimations of orange at the rim. On the nose, raspberry liqueur, plums, and a faint hint of funk. On the palate, the tannins have dramatically receded, but the raspberries remain present, along with plums, beef blood, and a mix of dried herbs and damp earth. While this isn't a light wine on the palate, neither is it the syrupy fruit bomb I was concerned I might be getting. One more bottle to go...
