This is not your typical every day white wine. It has considerably more color than usual, almost a brown tint in the clear bottle. The nose has lots of peach and pear, with a little of what smells like oxidation, in a good way. I am not all that familiar with Garganega which seems to have a viscosity and mouthfeel similar to Chardonnay. There is a lot going on here. The peach and grapefruit is framed in some earthy, herbal minerality. There is some light oxidation that participates in the flavor profile. Still very refreshing, plenty of acidity. Leaves a touch of that ginger root, wet leaves flavor on the finish.

Lots of skin contact. The joke is that Franco doesn't know how to make white wine so he just made this like it was a red. Glycerial on the nose, which is purposeful on thier end -- going for teritary aromas instead of primary fruit, the opposite of the Pinot Grigio. Ok at $16 if not exceptional.
