Deep garnet color with bricking edges. Nose of dark, cherries, tobacco, and hints of menthol and vanilla. Taste of ripe sherries, leather, tar,, and hints of autumnal spices. It needed food and was better on day two. Rich and well balanced. In a nice place burn should drink well for 3-5 years.

Still drinking well. Tannins have mellowed, but still has decent structure and bright fruit.
