very good showing, the wine was up to the expectation one can have with a Bonnes Mares.
Complex and deep nose, not fully open, mature with touch of earth, spices, and dark fruit. the palate was big and powerful. Tannins were fine and ripe. good length.
the wine should benefit from a few more years in a cellar.

Slowly decanted in bt, color is med garnet. Cherry nose and hint of rose petal and tea leaves. Fresh acidity on palate, dusty and dry tannin, light aroma overall but too much oak spice. At most, 1er cru quality. Finish is short and grippy.

Red fruit on nose with some floral elements and pale spice. Very good red cherry flavors on palate, interesting with moderate levels of acid and tannins. There are many 1995s that don't thrill me because of too much structure for the level of underlying raw material, this wine almost seem simply lean, less intense and very surprising for a 1995 Grand Cru.

HDH Pre-Auction Tasting (Tru): Pale pink color. Tight red frui tnose with licirce hints. Medium structured red fruit on the palate. Nice enough, but not great.
