  Nez cerises, chocolaté, un peu de mélasse. La bouche est d’une puissance contenue, doucement sucrée en attaque mais très sec dans sa longue finale, qui goûte le chocolat noir un peu amer. Dense, séveux, complexe, droit et salin. Une merveille. 95 pts

  Waited for so long to try this Amarone and wow, first time with Quintarelli and it's a 1995 vintage! Opened and decanted for 2-3 hours. Really deep ruby in the glass. Chunky aromas of stewed dark fruit, baking spices, Mediterranean herbs, chocolate and toffee. I was expecting this to be a big punch in the face, but wow, it showed so much finesse and elegance. A totally different take on Amarone, sooo good. Unfortunately, you have to cash out to get a black sheep this tasty, but it's definitely a worthwhile experience.
