C: dark ruby N: Dark Plum, raspberry, licorice, chocolates P: Chocolate covered red raspberry and black berry, bramble, black pepper, spice, licorice
This palate is a bit sweet, but it's rich with fruit and brambly notes. Some nice spicy flavors. Good amount of acidity early on the PnP makes this nice with grilled meats. (Worked well with a chili powder rubbed steak.) As it opens up over 2-3 hours, the acidity is balanced with big fruits that come forward.

I was pleasantly surprised! I've seen this around in almost every wine store I've ever been in and wrote it off as a pedestrian, run of the mill Zin. It was on sale last night and nothing else caught my eye. Nice nose, big red fruit up front, and surprisingly nice mineral finsh. This was a little sweeter than most Zins I'm used to; not a bad thing, just different. Excellent QPR! I'll put this into the rotation of bargain wines to have on hand for everyday drinking.

Some tartness and roughness, alittle gritty...i like the texture. Good table wine.
