  • Nice nose of clean, well-ripened dark red Gamay fruit. Hints of earth, spice, and something savory. Well-balanced on entry, then a slight astringency (tannins?) comes in on the mid-palate. Finishes dry.

  • After opening the bottle the wine appeared quite weak and dry with light but nice flavor, and it took a lot of aeration to open, gain structure and strengthen the body. It is simply very good Beaujolais with red swamp berries taste flavor with a little floral tone, rather light and rather dry, with enough complexity to enjoy it at any occasion (just give enough aeration time).

  • This needs at least an hour of air. Blueberries and earth on the nose. Dark fruits and savory herbs on the palate. Mid palate and finish are a little flat. Fruit dominates along with tannins that really dry out the tongue. Not rough but still need to integrate. Decent wine but lacking focus. If this had more acidity I would recommend aging for another 5 years-10 years. But it doesn't.

  • This is a really good "safe" wine. It's very satisfying and does everything it's supposed to do, significantly better than your standard Beaujolais, without being a complex or "interesting" wine. While it's not too heavy to be a beaujolais, it's not light either.

  • Medium dark Ruby red w/ medium high legs, opening of grape, leather, floral scents, immediate sweet concord grape (too sweet for me) followed by herb and dark berry with integrated tannins, very slight acidity on the finish. A good, easy drinking wine at an excellent price point. For my taste it it was a little too sweet up front and lacking the mid palate strength. A touch of cassis or anise would do wonders for this wine.
