  The best of all the 97 auslesen and spatelsen I bought. These were a bargain and are perfect for drinking. Unlike the somewhat less focused two bottles I had in the past year, this bottle was clearly defined, with the citrus, tropical fruit and apple flavors gliding smoothly through the back of the tongue. Not at the Zilliken level, but truly enjoyable .

  Surprisingly good--did not expect full throttle well aged spatlese at this price. Nicely floral with strong citrus backed acidity.Like many fine older rieslings, marriage of softer feel and less unctuousness was on the mark. After a week opened, the 1/3 bottle left drank nicely, though with some acidity prevailing at the end.
