A private lunch (Restaurant De Hoefslag *, Bosch en Duin, Netherlands): Bricked through; some herbs and spices on the nose, fresh forest mushrooms, nice depth; pleasant sweetness, vestiges of fresh fruit, decent length. Obviously fully mature but not overripe and no signs of decay. Excellent for what it is. A late release by Louis Latour for Hans Jorissen, acquired at auction in 2010.

Took it to my favourite Chinese to have with crispy duck and dear old Lucas shook the bottle just before pouring...old Christmas cake, pure. Not a lot of fruit but a lot of sediment...would have been a lot better if served at home.
