Noi pop-and-pour, this wine now requires some considerable time to breath. Even aerating it (with my portable brother) was insufficient to bring forth its true flavors. When--a day later--they finally emerged, I was very satisfied. The flavor is predominately a softened cassis that pairs well with moderately priced brie, manchego, and smoked gouda. So not an exceptional wine, but certainly one that won't embarrass when friends stop by mid-afternoon for a summer snack and a chat on the back porch.

A corker of a wine for me. It is a gentle introduction to Rioja, with very French characteristics making it a gem with food and the Rioja flavours allowing it to easily move from the table. Tanins, dryness, chocolate, spice, oak, caramel. Plum/cherry in colour and taste.

Not sure what to make of this wine. Every bottle seems to have a different profile. All nice.

Does not fail to impress each time. Can be drunk pretty soon after opening but likes a little time to settle. Great flavours and fresh.

Woody aroma. Sour aftertaste. Not as full body as I expected. Quite pleasant.
