My first CA pinot - this is a very nice, dark-bodied pinot. Black cherry on both the nose and the palate, and a decent finish. My main issue is it has a bit of sharpness on the finish, and I am not sure this will dissipate with additional age in the cellar. Also just a bit hot.

Dark crimson in color, with perfumed aromas of black cherries, rose petal, and a touch of game. The palate shows flavors of wild cherries, orange peel, sandalwood, and wet earth. Not decanted; this wine really continues to expand and develop as it opens. Decant or hold.

I typically love Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, but I could almost imagine this wine had cherry extract poured into the bottle. over the top in my opinion.

Solid 89. 14.75 alch. Darker than a normal pinot noir, and fuller bodied. Great QPR at $25. Delicious. Plenty of life on day 2. No rush to drink.
