  • The trocken Spätlese R is a selection of the normal Rüdesheimer Berg Rottland which is the best Location of Leitz and a Rheingau "Grand Cru". Only one Fuder (about 800 bottles) have been produced. In the year 2003 with its extreme climactic conditions this has produced a wine full of everything.
Lets start with alcohol: 14% is something rare for Riesling in Rheingau. the wine smells like apricot extract. On the palate very strong with extract masking the high alcohol, but not settled. This is a very powerful wine, which should balance in 3 - 5 years. Outstanding and a keeper
