In great form, with loads of struck match to the aroma. Almost a bit like a baby Bienvenue, with an engaging scent of honeysuckle, great volume of pure white peach and unctuous, sappy texture. It has serious build, good density and a finish laden with chalky dry extract. Length is superb.

Wine Tasting with HfL Executive (Fanhams Hall Hotel): Similar to previous note although much stronger struck match element and rather less fresh. Pale lemon. Pronounced aromas of citrus, yellow Apple, white blossom, vanilla, smoke, hazelnuts, struck match. Developing. Dry palate, medium (+) acidity, medium (+) alcohol, medium (+) body, pronounced aromas similar to the nose, very nice mineral streak. Long finish. Significant bottle variation, not as good as previous one, a little disappointing in comparison.

Dry palate, medium (+) acidity, medium (+) alcohol, full body, pronounced aromas similar to the nose, very nice mineral streak. Long finish. Outstanding Puligny, drinking beautifully, still very fresh, on this tasting no hurry to drink.

Plenty of struck match to the aroma. Under the sulphurous haze is a core of ripe and pure orchard fruits. It is a full wine with excellent depth of flavour and minerality to burn. It is drinking beautifully right now and I think I'll tuck into a few more of my '09 Boillot stash based on its showing.
