Gold yellow. Attractive nose of mango, pineapple, grapefruit, and a hint of terpentine. Slightly disappointing in the mouth after the nose: the wine is dominated by its acidity and alcohol leaving a slightly tart aftertaste. Perhaps I drank this too late in its life.

Birthday Celebration Chateauneuf-Du-Papes (Bill's, Wilmette IL): Nose: The nose was mature and refined while being filled with red apples, creamed peaches, apricots, spiced pears, and some custard notes.
Taste: Medium bodied with medium+ acidity. The feel and structure are mature with red apples, custard, creamed peaches, and some apricots.
Overall: This was gorgeous. It's really in a fantastic spot right now and provides a ton of enjoyment.

Lemon, apple, pear, honey with great minerality. Perfect balance. Delicious with a cheese course.
