Community Tasting Notes (2)

  • nose is rather unassuming. soft lemon cake. palate offers up some white chocolate, an ashen minerality. thoughts of a spirit. irish single malt. young oregon whiskey. quite the interesting chardonnay, a little something sweet on the finish. oak (not really), marzipan(lees)-ish-ness? up front on the palate, this wine is very beautiful.
DAY 4. lemon ice, a soft leesy bump on the palate. oak is really quiet here. suggests of nothing new real. maybe new untoasted or really light toast 10%. whatever. yeah, ashen note on the palate. yeah, tonneaux for 7months with lees stirring. really pretty balance today.

  • Way herbed out on the nose, like in the corked range of things, and a bit wacky. I could roll with it if facing down a magnum.
