  Comes from Wente/Estate Grown, California, Chardonnay variety; This wine is fermented in 50% neutral American oak barrels and 50% in stainless steel tanks. Tasting: golden, greenish color; Honey, pear and tropical fruits flavours; lots of oaky vanilla, honey and yellow fruit in mouth, very special depth from intensive oak, pear and sweetness of honey; delicious, long finish. Price ard 9 EUR, wow.

Finish is longish, with the oak influence being the last flavors to fade. Bright acidity and fruit keeps this in reasonable balance with the oak.   Pineapple, caramel and oak on the nose. Medium mouthfeel. Fresh Pineapple notes come through at first but it finishes a 'smoked' oak which lends to just a little bit of bitter roundness to the finish (I much prefer creamy roundness in my Chards).
  
  Keep it chilled though, as it warms up you get a hint of oiliness on the finish. Some may like this, but personally I liked it best when it was nice and chilled :)
