Still alive. Fruit is still there, with VERY slight raisin or stewed fruit taste, but good solid blue fruits with red cherry backbone. Nice remaining acidity to give a lift. Tannins completely resolved and just smooth. Drinking beautifully tonight and likely starting to head down, but would give another 1-2 years of good drinking. Cannot beat the QPR.

Brought to Robert and Mylene's for Sunday dinner. Now fully mature, this is drinking fabulously. Wonderful, alluring scents of crushed dark berries, Tuscan earth and spice on the nose. Bone dry on the palate, yet still showing just enough tangy, delicious black cherry, plum and dark currant fruit to keep this perfectly balanced. The long, complex finish displays attractive notes of mineral, baker's chocolate and coffee. This has softened up and smoothed out beautifully over the last few years. Could easily pass for a second-growth Bordeaux, from a fine vintage. What a steal this was at just $27! Sadly, now down to my last bottle of this gorgeous, Tuscan gem. 93++ 50+5+12+18+8=93
