fair amount of crystallized sediment on cork...translucent ruby hue...rich old world wet earth, toasted oak and black fruit bouquet...well integrated ripe tannins coupled with bright acidity...mid-palate spicy yet somewhat one dimensional and a bit shallow but nice restraint on fruit and a silky medium finish...patterned/elements of a solid right bank effort although a bit over-priced...needs 60 min decant...stood up well overnight and i actually enjoyed it more the day after (vacuum sealed)

Solid effort from McCall although a little overpriced at $45. Good fruit, indicative of the '07 vintage on Long Island. But not as smooth as some of the Reds coming out of Shinn this same vintage
